News Page 3rd October 2017

The University of Northampton will be getting social later this month with a special event.

Social Saturday is a national initiative co-ordinated by Social Enterprise UK, which showcases the value of organisations with a social mission.

The University will mark Social Saturday, which takes place on 14 October, with an event which will allow social enterprises in the community to connect with each other and raise their profile.

The two-hour event is free to attend and will include presentations by three local community based organisations: The Northants Credit Union, The Incredible Bakery and Elsie’s Café.

Organiser, Paul Connolly, said: “If you are a social enterprise, professional, or just generally interested in Social Saturday, be sure to book yourself in and come along.”

You can book your place by either emailing paul.connolly@northampton.ac.uk or visiting the website.
