Uno bus – the University bus that everyone can use

The University subsidises the Uno bus services 19 and 21 which link Park and Avenue Campus to other locations in Northampton, including the town centre and rail station. You can use your University of Northampton ID card to travel for free between Park Campus, Avenue Campus and Barrack Road in either direction on Uno buses, Monday to Friday.

Tickets must be bought from the driver in cash. The Northampton Buzz Card and PlusBus tickets are also accepted.

A discounted weekday fare of £1 applies for single journeys outside of these locations. Northampton Buzz Card and PlusBus tickets are also accepted. Further information about bus timetables and maps for services operating in Northampton can be found on the Northamptonshire County Council website.

UNO bus service 19 (Violet)

Weston Favell – Park Campus – Avenue Campus – Rail Station – Bus Station – Sixfields

The service operates a 12-minute frequency Monday to Friday (15 minutes during non-term time) from Park Campus to Sixfields, with an hourly service to Weston Favell. On Saturdays the service runs every 20 – 30 minutes from Park Campus to the bus station, with an hourly service to Weston Favell. On Sundays the service runs every 30 minutes between Park Campus and the bus station.

UNO bus service 21

Park Campus – Barrack Road (near Avenue)– Bus Station – Weston Favell – Blackthorn

The service operates a 15 – 20-minute frequency Monday to Friday and a 20 – 30-minute service on Saturdays between Park Campus and Blackthorn, including the central Northampton bus station and Barrack Road (local to Avenue Campus).

Travelling to/from Northampton rail station

The Uno 19 Violet route connects the rail station with both Avenue and Park campuses. The service operates a 12-minute frequency Monday to Friday (15 minutes during non-term time) and 20 – 30 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays.

Train services

Northampton railway station is located approximately half a mile to the west of Northampton town centre. It is serviced by London Midland with trains traveling south to London and north to Birmingham stopping at various locations on the way including: Watford, Milton Keynes, Long Buckby and Coventry. Online live departure and arrival boards are available.
