Cameron Vanloo

Cameron is elected by the student body as Vice-President Education in the University of Northampton Students’ Union. This role involves leadership of student faculty and course representatives, representing the student voice internally and externally, and having oversight of education and academic matters both in the University and nationally.

Cameron graduated from the University of Northampton with a joint honours degree in Accounting with Sport Studies. He followed this up by completing a Masters at the University in International Events Management. Cameron is an active contributor to research into Esports and competitive gaming and regularly goes on BBC radio to talk about this subject area.

Cameron has previously volunteered for the Student Union as Faculty Advocate for the Faculty of Business and Law, Vice President of Swimming, Treasurer of Swimming and Vice President of Esports and competitive gaming. Cameron is delighted to be serving on the Board of Governors at an exciting time as the University settles into the Waterside Campus and explores the new opportunities it brings, especially for the development of new teaching styles and a student focused approach.
