Getting to grips with PSR

Mode of delivery: Face to face

Length of Session: Three hour workshop. Could be adapted to involve online pre-work and shorter time face to face.

Time for your 5-yearly PSR? Discover ways in which to make the process as straightforward as possible.

What staff need(s) will the workshop meet?

  • We’ve got a PSR coming up! Awareness of the pitfalls & mistakes others have made could save me time in the end.
  • I’ve been asked to sit on a future PSR panel & I need to know more about what the process involves and factors I should be looking out for within programme documentation.

Through this you will...

This is no ordinary training ABOUT ‘quality assurance’ processes. Role-play, working with sample documents taken from real PSR submissions, will bring you face to face with typical pitfalls when preparing for a PSR & help you prepare, and defend, your own submission.

Who would benefit from this workshop

Programme and Module Leaders; experienced staff contributing to PSR and/or sitting on PSR panels.

The workshop will focus on issues of quality to be considered when evaluating and reviewing the design and effectiveness of an academic programme or planning future developments.

Through the workshop you will deepen your grasp of the quality assurance policies and processes in Northampton & consider how they apply to the design & review of academic programmes.
