Sign up for this workshop if this is your need:
- I need to review my modules as part of the Assessment Review – how do I write Learning Outcomes appropriate for each academic level?
- How do I distinguish between subject-specific and skills-based Learning Outcomes?
- What should I look for in assessing Employability and Changemaker skills at different levels?
How do I explain expectations of Employability and Changemaker skills to students at level 4, 5, 6 etc?
Through this you will…
This workshop will involve a variety of activities exploring the writing of effective Learning Outcomes at the appropriate level of study. This includes both subject-specific Learning Outcomes and also Employability and Changemaker skills LOs.
This will help you to understand how student learning should develop through Levels 4, 5, 6 of a degree programme. We will work with example modules and learning activities, explore the skills involved and how these might be assessed. If you like, you can also work on your own modules.
You will get the chance to work with the new COGS tool to help clarify what the expectations should be of students in different levels and how you might support students to understand the expectations of their learning through assessment design and person-to-person explanations.
