Explore issues such as

• national standards and policies

• variability in standards

• sources of variation

• professional practice in the External Examiner role

• social moderation and calibration.

The workshop involves a two-part process of independent online preparation and one full day of face to face presentations, individual and small group activities and plenary discussions. The workshop involves reading and critical consideration of national policies and relevant research literature, explored in relation to the practicalities of the External Examiner role. To gain the associated certificate from Advance HE you must participate actively throughout the complete workshop and undertake a number of self-assessment activities.

This workshop runs on;

Day 1 – 22nd November from 13.00 – 16.45

Day 2 – 25th November from 9.15 – 13.00
