In this workshop you will explore what is meant by differentiation and how taking this approach can help you manage academically diverse student populations.
You will consider teaching methods by their capacity to differentiate and focus on activities you can use with students in your sessions to cater for different needs when covering the same topic.
You will leave with some initial plans for incorporating differentiation into your teaching.

I feel that whilst many students cope well with the level of work required, others find the same tasks much more challenging. I’d like some ideas about how I can adapt my teaching to make sure these students achieve.
I’ve noticed that some of my students are very capable and would benefit from more challenge. How can I achieve this in a way that is still aligned to the learning outcomes and doesn’t just mean they do more of the same work?
I’m aware that tasks need to be differentiated but it seems like a lot of work to produce different tasks or resources. How can I differentiate without creating a lot more work for myself?
