Meet the Changemaker Team

You can drop-in to the Meet the Changemaker Team in person between 9:30am and 4:30pm each day on the Ground Floor of the Learning Hub. We will be there to chat to you about how we can support you, as well as different opportunities you can get involved with during your time at UON. You can also meet the team virtually through their online Meet the Team events which start on Wednesday at 10.30am.

You, Me, Coffee, Tea: International Students
Online 10am / In person 11am Engine Shed

Come and meet your Students’ Union Officers over a cup of tea or coffee, biscuits and great conversation in the Engine Shed. Pop in and meet students similar to yourself or bring along a friend and find out how you can get more involved. We are still able to meet in person for this event under the new government guidelines.

Can’t get to campus? No problem! Grab your drink of choice and come and meet your Students’ Union Officers and fellow students in this virtual setting. Pop in and meet students similar to yourself and find out how you can get more involved.

ASSIST drop-ins

ASSIST will be available for drop-in slots from 11am to 3pm each weekday (22 – 25 September) to help new and returning students to register with us and set-up their support.

You don’t need to be registered with ASSIST to attend our drop-in. If you would like to speak to a member of ASSIST about what support is available for students with additional needs, or if you are encountering a difficulty with your studies as a result of a disability, medical condition, autism, mental health difficulty or Specific Learning Difference (SpLD) like dyslexia, book a slot to have a confidential one-to-one discussion with a member of the team.

Library Induction Investigation

Inspired by escape rooms and puzzle games, The Library’s Induction Investigation is an online group activity that will introduce you to some of the Library and Learning Services (LLS) sites and services that will be useful during your studies.

It provides a friendly “Hello!” from our teams, and offers some puzzles to solve as you navigate around the website. It’s a great teambuilding activity to help you get to know your fellow students as you work together. It’s a friendly, welcoming and stress-free experience… there is no time limit, and clues are freely available for those who’d like them!
