acting showcase

Graduating BA (Hons) Acting students from the University of Northampton are presenting three exciting productions at the prestigious Royal Theatre this March as a culmination of their three years of training at the Faculty of Arts, Science & Technology.

We have three excellent shows for you to see this year:

POSH by Laura Wade. This is about an Oxford student dining club called “The Riot Club”, a fictionalised version of the Bullingdon Club, of which a number of well known politicians were members (allegedly!).

Posh 2017 (2)

Pornography by Simon Stephens. This is composed of seven stories that serve as a countdown to the catastrophic attack on London on 7th July 2005.

Pornography 2017 (2)

Vinegar Tom by Carol Churchill. This is where the witch hunts of the 17th century are used to tell the story of two farm women who are named as witches by a man whom they have spurned sexually. The connection between fear of female sexuality and witch hysteria is shown to be at the root of many of society’s problems.

Vinegar Tom 2017

The performances are from Wednesday 15 March to Saturday 18 March with matinee and evening showings available.

You’ll find more details of the performances and how to book your tickets on the Royal & Derngate website.
