Sharon Smith is an Associate Lecturer at The University of Northampton. She is an experienced Health Visitor and former children’s nurse with a particular interest in childhood nutrition and family health promotion. She is a member and author for the All Parliamentary Group on a Fit and Healthy Childhood.
This session will focus on the importance of nutrition for young children’s health. It will explore breastfeeding, recommendations for the introduction of solid foods and the role of early diet in preventing childhood obesity.
