Get a map of your town. Draw a circle on the map. Put your walking shoes on and explore this area. Look up, look down, look around. What can you see? How old is it? Who used it? What does it mean? The signs that are left on the building tell a story. The terraced house with faded paint signage of the coal merchants. The pub that has the ghost sign of the former Banking institution. Psychogeography is the name given to this meandering. What are the resonances of a place where the town gallows stood – is there an atmosphere? Are the stories of place still dancing around you? Come and explore notions of Psychogeography and Ghost signs – if you dare!
If you would like to attend, please book your place here.
