The works to be shown in this exhibition are documents of research, both roaming and curious. The question that is within and between these works is one of how to develop an understanding of the physical and conceptual operations of drawing when used in the acquisition of knowledge. Seeking no formal resolution at this stage these drawings look to speculate and accumulate the ongoing questions of the research; they are in process.

Intentionally based in the traditional mode of drawing these preliminary works utilise a naivety and curiosity of ‘airflow’ to generate a place of unknowing. This site of unknowing not only becomes engine for the serial enquires which ask the questions of drawing but also, inevitably, speaks of the context of being in the early stages of research.
