Our final year BA (Hons) Acting students will be showcasing the techniques and skills they have learnt throughout their time at university in a series of performances at the Jacksons Lane Theatre, London on Thursday 7 June – Saturday 9 June 2018.
The performances include:
DNA by Dennis Kelly
This amateur production of ‘DNA’ is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH LTD.
Director – Anthony Houghton
Description – ‘A group of teenagers do something bad, really bad, then panic and cover the whole thing up. But when they find that the cover-up unites them and brings harmony to their otherwise fractious lives, where’s the incentive to put things right? DNA is a poignant and, sometimes, hilarious tale with a very dark heart.’
Dates & Times – Thursday 7 June at 11am and Saturday 9 June at 7.45pm.
The Crucible by Arthur Miller
This amateur production of ‘The Crucible’ is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd.
Director – Nadia Papachronopolou
Description – ‘Arthur Miller’s classic story of how the small community of Salem is stirred into madness by superstition, paranoia and malice, culminating in a violent climax, is a savage attach on the evils of mindless persecution and terrifying power of false accusations.’
Dates & Times – Thursday 7 June at 2pm, Friday 8 June at 7pm and Saturday 9 June at 11am.
A Servant to Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni – an adapation by Lee Hall, from a literal translation by Gwenda Pandolfi
This amateur production of ‘A Servant to Two Masters’ is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH LTD.
Director – Frank Wurzinger
Description – ‘A Servant of Two Masters by Carlo Goldoni is a classic 18th century comedy, which was given a new lease of life in this adaptation by Lee Hall (write of Billy Elliot, Warhouse and Shakespeare in Love). It was also the inspiration for the highly successful One Man Two Guvnors and tells the tale of a hapless servant, who is in way over his head’.
Dates & Times – Thursday 7 June at 7.30pm, Friday 8 June at 11am and Saturday 9 June at 3pm.
