The University of Northampton is delighted to welcome Karen Spencer, founder and CEO of Whole Child International, to speak at this years Annual Children and Young People’s Lecture.  In September 2015, she was elected as an Ashoka Fellow for her innovative work as a social entrepreneur by the Ashoka Foundation, which honoured her for identifying and filling a gap in care for orphans and vulnerable children. In 2017, Countess Spencer was named as one of People Magazine’s “25 Women Changing the World”.

Drawing on her extensive experience in establishing Whole Child International and her work on the frontline of policy and practice, Countess Spencer will challenge us to think differently about how to create innovative and systemic change that will enhance the lives of vulnerable children.

Refreshments will be served from 5.30pm and the lecture will commence at 6.30pm.
