Staff Profile

  • Dr. Sajal Dey is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Northampton (UON). He pursued his Ph.D. in the area of Accounting and Finance from the Newcastle Business School, University of Newcastle, Australia. He has been awarded the “FBL Best Paper Award 2020” at the 6th FBL HDR Colloquium at the University of Newcastle, Australia. Apart from his academic background, he is also a qualified cost and management accountant from the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB). Further, Dr Dey holds the designation of FHEA. His areas of research are climate change disclosure and performance; corporate social responsibility disclosures and performance; big data and artificial intelligence in accounting and finance; CEO characteristics and board diversity. He is also working as an active reviewer of several reputed journals. Before joining UON, he has been working as an associate professor at Jagannath University, Bangladesh and as a casual lecturer at the University of Newcastle, Australia.
