Dr Navid

Lecturer in Strategic Management

  • Dr Navid Nasirpour (BSc, MSc, FCMI and MPhil-Ph.D.) joined University of Northampton in September 2017. Navid obtained his Ph.D. in Business and Management (Strategy International Business and Entrepreneurship) at Royal Holloway University of London in 2013. Previously, Navid has also held academic post at Coventry University Group. 

    Navid is a Fellow of Chartered Management Institute (FCMI) and his doctoral thesis examined the topic of Knowledge Management in the New Product Development Process in the International Automotive Manufacturing Companies.

    Prior to his MPhil- PhD studies at Royal Holloway University of London, Navid has completed an MSc degree in Business and Enterprise at Oxford Brookes University and LTHE Learning and Teaching in Higher Education from Queen Mary University of London and a BSc in Agricultural Engineering and Animal Science from IRAN AZAD University.

    During his PhD, Navid actively involved in and lead a Knowledge Management (KM) project at the biggest automotive manufacturer in the Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia. This Knowledge Management project focused particularly on KM issues within the New Product Development Processes (NPD) and Strategy Department between the company and its international partners; French Peugeot, French Renault, British PAD, German Mercedes-Benz and Japanese Suzuki.

    Navid’s earlier research was in the field of Business and Enterprise in the UK’s service industry. Prior to these, Navid had had more than 20 years of work experience as a Manager and Researcher within Education Sector, Industry and Retailers.
