Staff Profile

  • Louise is a practicing artist, curator and writer working across a variety of mediums and processes including drawing, installation and print. She has exhibited both nationally and internationally and is a passionate advocate of drawing as a universal language. She has curated launch events for the Big Draw, worked with The British council through drawing symposia and workshops and writes a regular column for The Saatchi Magazine: Art and Music. Louise teaches on the studio-based modules of the course.

  • Teaching specialisms are printmaking and drawing in their widest application, encouraging material research through installation.

    • Recent Curation: :Xenotopia, a group exhibition of 14 artists including Turner Prize winner Grayson Perry.
    • Recent Writing: Through a regular column in the quarterly The Saatchi Gallery Magazine: Art & Music Louise writes both fiction and cultural commentary. She was its guest editor for a 2011 issue dedicated to the question ‘Is drawing still relevant?’
