  • Kirsty joined the university in 2017 as a senior lecturer on the Integrated Foundation Year. Her interests lie in supporting students to achieve more than they expected of themselves and to assist them in realising their potential and growing in confidence, through their studies. Kirsty is cognate lead for the Arts on the Integrated Foundation Year.

  • Kirsty has taught for over 20 years, ranging from primary school to teaching teachers, and everything in between. Her main subject areas are in the arts, but she also teaches academic and study skills as well as personal development. She is passionate about the role personal tutoring can make to student’s lives and their studies.

  • Kirsty’s research crosses the boundaries between fine art, photography and psychology. She is interested in mental health concerns and the expression and understanding of these concerns through the visual medium.
