Within this role, Grace is involved in institution-wide projects including: First Year Experience and Enhancing Student Success. Her work largely consists of supporting students with academic study skills through one-to-one tutorials, workshops, drop-ins and open educational resources. She has also recently completed her PhD on “The University Bubble: Undergraduate perceptions and experiences of risk/risky behaviour on their transitions to, through and beyond University”. Previous to this, Grace has led and supported projects on School Re-design, Educational Learning Environments, Improving Youth Engagement, Youth Provision, Retention, Widening Participation, Active Learning, Transitions to University and Employability. This is reinforced by her teaching experience in schools and Higher Education. She is also a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
