Education and qualifications
Gary is a Senior Lecturer in Tourism Management in the field of Leisure Management and Languages. He holds a Masters Degree in the Sociology and Anthropology of Travel & Tourism from the University of Surrey.
Employment
Gary was formerly Director of Tourism Affairs and Acting Director General in the government offices of two successful overseas destinations. He has extensive experience of the key tourism and leisure sectors through both operational and consultancy roles. His particular areas of expertise are in the fields of tourism development, concept evaluation and business planning, strategy and training for the public and private sectors. He has worked and provided international consultancy for government organisations, national and regional tourist boards, multinational hotels, airlines, the retail travel sector and education/training providers.
