  • Chris Burdett is a professional actor working at the University of Northampton lecturing students on a 3 year Acting BA. He lectures on Acting Methodologies – with an emphasis on the work of Konstantin Stanislavsky and Uta Hagen and Active Analysis, Media Acting (Screen) and Performing Shakespeare. He trained at Arts Education School but subsequently failed to pursue an acting career for many years due to travel and family commitments – before returning to the profession in 2000. He has worked in theatre, television and radio, and has worked in applied theatre in prisons, residential homes, schools and colleges. He qualified with a BA in Drama and an MA in Texts in Performance from Loughborough University and it was here that he began to combine his professional acting with lecturing. His research interests include Renaissance Playhouse Practice, Actor Training and Screen Performance.
