  • My background is in Sociology, with a B.A Hons in Sociology from the University of Greenwich and an M.A in Social Research from the University of Warwick.
    For my PhD research at the University of Warwick, I undertook an ethnography of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) to examine the concepts of cosmopolitanism, conviviality, gender, masculinity and carnality.  My current research builds upon these themes by exploring the impact of commercialisation and cosmopolitanism in contemporary UK physical culture.
