The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) is a globally recognised postgraduate qualification for ambitious, motivated professionals. Studying an Executive MBA degree will support your career progression by developing your critical thinking and research skills and enhancing your business knowledge and understanding. The Executive MBA course will improve your management practice and will equip you with the essential leadership skills, confidence and competence to achieve your organisation’s objectives.
This course is available via Distance Learning or Campus delivery, both modes supported by online sessions. There is a September and February intake.
If you have any questions about the programme you can email the Programme Leader, Dinusha Boteju: firstname.lastname@example.org.
While studying our Executive MBA course, you will learn to think laterally, challenge convention and offer informed solutions to business issues. You will gain valuable skills that will set you apart from colleagues, allowing you to progress to your full career potential.
You will be aided throughout the process by our supportive teaching staff that are professionally qualified and have industry and academic experience to share with you. You will be encouraged to engage with your fellow students and tutors online.
With an Executive MBA, you can further enhance your employment opportunities, with a globally recognised postgraduate qualification. Additionally, MBA Distance Learning gives you the benefit of being able to balance study with your commitments at work and home. You can enjoy the flexibility to study at your convenience without the need to travel or physically attend classes. Please note that modules are delivered within trimester periods so you will need to complete them in specified times.
Module information can be found on the Executive MBA Award Map.
If you hold a first or second class honours degree from a British university, or equivalent qualification, and have a minimum of two years relevant management experience, you will be eligible to apply for this course.
We will consider your application if you can prove any prior credit or experiential learning that is relevant to the course. As this postgraduate qualification will attract professional practitioners and managers, you may be admitted on the basis of an assessment of meaningful and measurable prior learning or professional experience.

An EMBA is similar to a general MBA course, however, it is more suitable for individuals with senior management experience who are looking to further progress their career.
Executive MBA courses tend to be studied part time or via Distance Learning to fit around work, and typically attract older students who have already gained substantial experience in the world of business.
Unlike other postgraduate courses which provide in-depth specialisation in a particular field, an MBA is interdisciplinary. An MBA exposes you to all areas of business including accounting, finance, marketing, and human resources.
While both EMBA and MBA degrees focus on business development, have rigorous curriculums and are globally recognised, the distinction between them comes in the course design.
Executive MBA courses are a more ideal option for those already working in business positions, such as in executive, manager or consultant roles, and who wish to fit their study around their day job.
Meanwhile, MBA programs are typically studied on a full-time basis and are suited to individuals with less managerial experience.
