Andrew Scarborough has nearly 40 years’ experience in management and leadership roles in the public sector.
During his early career in the Post Office he led teams responsible for Strategic Planning, Investment Appraisal and Market Development. In the late 1990s he worked in the constituency office of Angela Billingham (now Baroness Billingham of Banbury), MEP for Northamptonshire and Blaby, and served six years as Deputy Leader of Wellingborough Borough Council, to which he was re-elected in 2011 and 2015.
More recently, he served for eight years as Chairman of Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Trust which is responsible for Mental Health, Learning Disability, Sexual Health, Drugs and Alcohol and other Community Services in the County and for four years he was a member of the Board of the East Midlands Development Agency.
Andrew is a magistrate, and served for three years as the Chairman of the Wellingborough Bench. He is the Chairman of Governors of a local special school and has served as a trustee of a number of local voluntary organisations.
