Art and Design Undergraduate Programmes
Architectural Technology and Interior Design Degrees
An Architectural Technologist must balance abilities and knowledge in design, technical skills and project management. With this Architectural Technology degree from the University of Northampton, you will be equipped with everything you need to deliver projects from the concept stage through to completion.
Our Interior Architecture and Spatial Design BA (Hons) course is a special interior architecture degree which will provide you with an introduction to creative practices. As you work on studio projects, you will be informed by social contexts, current trends, and historical and contemporary design.
Fine Art Degrees
Our Fine Art undergraduate programme will give you the opportunity to explore the practices of painting and drawing in depth, while developing your awareness of historical precedent and contemporary issues.
Through this specialist Fine Arts course, you will build on a wide variety of disciplines, while exploring contemporary methods of approaching drawing and painting. You will grow your knowledge and confidence with cultural and social contexts, historical and contemporary references, and expert support.
Graphics and Illustration Degrees
Confront the stereotypical and challenging conventions of image-making and communication, whilst learning traditional craft skills and the potential offered by new and emerging technologies on our Graphic Communication degree programme.
Our Illustration degree has an emphasis on innovative and imaginative ideas as well as strong drawing and painting, graphic design and digital skills. All of which are explored through narrative, cultural, social and environmental themes at each level in; workshops, staff set, live and competition project briefs.
A Photography degree will challenge you to consider traditional silver processes and digital technologies, evaluating photographic production and studying the still image in relation to both the moving image and newer interactive technologies.
Our Top-Up undergraduate Photography degree takes a practical approach to this discipline, placing it in a variety of contemporary contexts and practices. Students will also develop a critical understanding, allowing you to expand on your creativity and professionalism in the subject.
Product Design Degrees
During this Product Design degree, you will be encouraged to challenge ideas of aesthetics, functionality, sustainability, materials and more to learn how to create design products that innovate and make a difference. Industry projects and contemporary technologies will allow you to put this mindset to practice.
On our HND Product Design courses, you will learn creative and original design skills, which you will be able to nurture and develop via practical, studio-based problem solving activities.
