At the University of Northampton, the safety of our guests is a top priority. As a result, we have cancelled certain events and, where possible, moved others online to allow guests to participate virtually. We are closely following government guidelines and will review the situation again at the end of November.
In the meantime, please visit our situations update page for further guidance and announcements.

Open day FAQs
Open days give you the opportunity to find out more about a university and see everything it has to offer. The events are free and include information on the courses available and give a chance to explore the campus (be that virtually or via a campus tour. This first-hand experience is invaluable in helping you decide where and what course you would like to study.
Open day places must be booked in advance, so make sure you secure yours as soon as possible. This is especially important for any on campus events or tours as capacities will be controlled in order to comply with social distancing. If you can’t make it to a certain open day, there may be other events available and our campus tours run throughout the year. Check out our campus tours page for more information.
When making such an important decision, it can be very helpful to have a second opinion from someone you trust. For our virtual open days you can share links with friends and family or ask them to register with us directly. If you are attending an on campus event, make sure you check how many guests you can bring with you before you travel as social distancing measures may limit capacity.
When it comes to what to wear to a uni open day, there are no set rules but during our on campus open days, as you will be touring the campus, comfortable footwear is recommended. Bear in mind that you may also be meeting your future tutors, so it’s a good idea to avoid wearing anything inappropriate.
