Naimia and Yochabel who are currently in their final year of study of the Environmental Science BSc (Hons) recently received funding towards a research trip to Iceland to study volcanoes.
“This trip was amazing and gave us an opportunity to undertake independent fieldwork in a different environment. Also we expanded our skill set by organising the tours ourselves and gaining knowledge in geology and the volcanology of Iceland that can be applied in our projects. We are very grateful for partially funding our trip, it would not have been possible otherwise, it was just an amazing experience for us both.”
