Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE)

DLHE Survey logo 2017

Every year we ask all those who have recently completed a course here to take part in a survey to find out what happens to them after they leave the University of Northampton. The survey should only take a few minutes to complete and we are interested to hear about any work and/or further study you will be doing on 10th January 2018.

To complete this survey please follow the link below. You will need to enter your student ID number as your password.

IFF Research will only contact you in relation to this survey (DLHE) and will not contact you or pass on your details for any other purpose.

If you need assistance in completing the questionnaire, wish to opt out of the survey or need to access it in a different format, please contact us by emailing JanuaryDLHE@IFFResearch.com

As a Graduate of the University you are automatically a member of your Alumni Association, so keep an eye out for emails from the Alumni Officer inviting you to share your stories. Get in touch with them any time on alumni@northampton.ac.uk or follow them on Twitter and join the graduate group on Facebook.

Please don’t forget, although you have now completed your course, the Employability Service is still available to help you with any career-related issues that you may have. If you would like any help with your future plans, please contact employability@northampton.ac.uk. They can provide information on a range of jobs and give guidance to the additional support that is available to you as an alumni of the University of Northampton.

You can also follow the Employability Service on Twitter @changemaker_hub, or find them on Facebook and LinkedIn, to find a range of graduate-related roles and internships.

Unitemps – our on-campus recruitment agency – may also have roles that would be of interest to you. Register on www.unitemps.com, and select Northampton.

If you have any further questions about the survey please contact surveys@northampton.ac.uk.

About the survey

The survey we are asking you to take part in is a national survey of everyone who has recently qualified from any university or HE college in the UK. The information you provide will also be very useful to us at the University of Northampton to advise our current students about the opportunities that might be available to them.

Of those who obtained qualifications across the UK in 2015/16, 78% responded to the survey. Find out more on the HESA website about news and insights and further results of the 2015/16 survey.

If we don’t hear from you we will try to contact you again, possibly by phone, so please let us know if you change your email address or phone number. If we can’t get in touch with you at all, we may try to get information about what you were doing from someone else, either at the University of Northampton or someone we can reach using the contact information you have previously provided. If you don’t want us to do this, or you don’t want to give us any information at all, please tell us. Below are details about what happens to your information after it is sent to us.

A follow-up survey is planned for three years’ time so that we can get even more information about the early careers of those with HE qualifications. You might be asked to take part in this follow-up survey as well, which will be carried out by a different organisation. If you don’t want to take part in the follow-up survey, please let us know. You can also let us know that you do not want to take part in the follow-up survey by ticking the box at the end of the questionnaire.

What happens to your information

We will send information from this survey to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). The uses that HESA makes of your survey responses are described in detail on the HESA website.
