Centre for Community Volunteering

National Student Volunteering Week

The University of Northampton's Centre for Community Volunteering encourages and supports staff and students to get involved in a diverse range of volunteering opportunities to support community groups, local organisations and charities.

There are also opportunities for staff and students to lead their own projects.

Please also see our Student volunteering and Staff volunteering pages.

If you are a community organisation looking for volunteers then please visit our Volunteers' Fair page.

Benefits of volunteering

Volunteering not only makes a difference to the lives of other people, but the volunteer also gains a sense of satisfaction from the work they have done. Volunteering carries lots of other advantages too; it is a great way to meet new people, make friends and have fun in the process. Volunteers are also provided the opportunity to learn new skills and enhance their prospects when looking for employment or going on to further study.
