Case study

Name: Angela Foster

Age: 19

Course: Foundation Degree Business and Personnel

Why did you choose The University of Northampton?

I chose The University of Northampton because it has close links with Northampton College. This gave me the added security that if I didn't gain relevant grades, I could still study a related course.

Overall impression:

Staff are very friendly and willing to help. They helped me to feel welcome as an older student and put me at ease.

What do you feel will be of particular value you to in the future?

As part of the assessments for each module you have to give presentations along with a written assignment. These have helped me to become more confident in speaking out loud and not to doubt myself in my ability.

Advice for prospective students:

At The University of Northampton you are never more than one step away from someone who can help, whether it be friends, staff, or people on your course. Everyone is here to help. And, of course, the Student Union staff are here to entertain you!
