Undergraduate courses

International students interested in studying an undergraduate degree or an undergraduate top up course at the University of Northampton need to complete an international application form.

Completed forms should be returned to the address on the form, or to intadmissions@northampton.ac.uk together with copies of all educational documents, a copy of your passport and evidence of English language competence. If applying electronically, please include these documents as attachments.

International applicants can also make an application through the Universities and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS). More information about studying in the UK is available on the British Council study in the UK website.

Postgraduate courses

To apply for a postgraduate course, please complete either the online application form or the paper based International application form which you can find on the right hand side of this page. Completed forms should be returned to the email address above or postal address stated on the form, together with copies of all educational documents, a copy of your passport and evidence of English language competence.

Students interested in applying for a research degree should complete their application through our Self-service Application portal and search for the relevant programme (please use the keywords ‘research’ or ‘doctor’) and submit all requested documents together with a research proposal directly to the University. Please see the download for guidance on completing a research proposal.

Once your application has been received and checked, it will be passed over to the appropriate Faculty within the University for consideration. If the Faculty has the capacity and expertise to support your proposal you will be invited to an interview. (Please note that the application process from start to finish, i.e. to receiving a research degree offer from the University can take up to 7 weeks).

Our next research degree induction takes place in October 2016 and we would recommend to make your application by August 2016.

Alternatively, if you are looking to join our March 2017 research degree induction we would recommend to submit your application to the University by the end of January 2017.
