Dr Sophie Hadfield-Hill

Sophie is currently a post-doctoral researcher working on the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded research project 'New Urbanisms, New Citizens: children and young people's everyday life and participation in Sustainable Communities.' The research specifically investigates the experiences, issues and needs of young people (aged 11-16) living in new and rapidly-expanding communities in the Milton Keynes-South Midlands (MKSM) Growth Area. Sophie's responsibilities on the project include ethnographic fieldwork in two case study communities, data analysis and dissemination. Project website: www.newcitizens.wordpress.com Sophie was awarded her PhD in 2010 from the University of Leicester. Her research focused on the 'greening' of leading companies and financial institutions in India, titled: 'The future of responsible lending in India: perceptions of the environment and sustainability.'
