Lisa's core teaching is located in the area of critical social psychology. She is specifically interested in and teach issues concerning, gender, sexualities, sexual violence, racialised discrimination, identity and qualitative research methodologies. Lisa has taught these topics at both undergraduate and postgraduate level as well as lecturing in areas of developmental psychology and coordinating modules for the MSc in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.

Lisa is near completion of her PH.D under the supervision of Rose Capdevila and Kevin Buchanan. Her Ph.D project focuses on the construction of the issue of sexual harassment in academic, participant and policy accounts. This thesis explores how constructions of the term 'sexual harassment' and strategies to deal with it shape, enable and constrain victim resistance against gendered/sexualised power relations inscribed in manifestations of unwanted attention.

Lisa is currently a member for the Standing Committee for the Promotion of Equal Opportunities for the British Psychological Society. She has also undertaken the roles of disability coordinator and safe guarding officer within the school of social sciences at The University of Northampton.
