I joined the law team in Northampton in 1989. Since then I have obtained an LLM (London) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Criminology (Leicester). More recently I was on the team who successfully bid for the training contract for Northamptonshire Police and in conjunction with the police I helped develop their training programme. I am also the School of Social Sciences Academic Misconduct officer, thus I deal with all cases of alleged (and real) plagiarism in the school. Academically I am interested in anything to do with crime and criminal justice, particularly in the growing trend of legislation that appears to be shifting the burden of proof and the effects of imprisonment on society.
My personal interests are fairly conventional. I like reading crime fiction, walking my dog (Posh), cooking, entertaining / socialising. I enjoy the cinema, theatre and most live music (except country). I hold a season tickets for Northampton Saints Rugby Club and I am a keen supporter. Everything else about me (other than eye colour and height) is subject to change.
