I have taught many aspect of law over the years but now specialise in property and environmental law. Within these areas my particular interests are housing and waste management. At Northampton we have a strong Waste Management Research Team at the SITA Centre and I have written and presented a number of research papers on this topic.
The Law Division has good links with the Northampton Law Society with whom I liaise and between us we present a number of continuing professional development courses each year.
I am a Chairman of the Residential Property Tribunal Service whose jurisdiction covers a wide range of leasehold issues. This experience informs my teaching and research and I am always interested to hear form a student who wishes to undertake a dissertation in this area of study.
I am also an independent member of the Research Ethics Committee of the Health and Safety Executive.
My leisure activities include construction work and spending time by the sea side with my family.
