Goodwill Solutions Award

Goodwill Solutions CIC, a social business supported by the University of Northampton, has won the Growth Champions Award in an annual social enterprise Index.

Sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland, the RBS SE100 Index aims to celebrate and promote UK social enterprises that work in a variety of sectors – including retail, hospitality, healthcare and community development .The index is the equivalent of the FTSE 100 for social enterprises based on size and impact, and recognises social enterprises who have demonstrated some of the best business practice within the sector.

Twenty-seven of the 1,365 social ventures placed within the Index were also shortlisted for annual awards, and five inspiring organisations shared over £30,000 in prize money. Goodwill Solutions was awarded £10,000 and a ‘Growth Champions’ Award in recognition of the contribution that the organisation makes to society.

Goodwill Solutions CIC offers bespoke logistics and warehousing solutions to retailers and global manufacturers. It uses the infrastructure and surpluses generated to run ‘back-to-work’ courses for ex-military with post-traumatic stress disorder, ex-offenders, and other disadvantaged individuals.

Mike Britton, Managing Director of Goodwill Solutions CIC commented:  “This award is a credit to the whole Goodwill Solutions team who change people’s lives on a daily basis through their work.  Being recognised as part of the community of socially and environmentally responsible businesses will help to increase our profile in both the Logistics and Social sectors. Goodwill Solutions is open for business!”
