University of Northampton to welcome Fujitsu’s Vice President, Dr Alex Bazin for guest lecture

Date 29.01.2016

The University of Northampton is proud to announce that Dr Alex Bazin, Vice President of world-renowned IT company Fujitsu, will be bestowing career advice and insights to students at a guest lecture on Thursday.

The lecture is the second Fujitsu event held at the University of Northampton’s since the two institutions formed a strategic partnership last November. The partnership offers undergraduate and postgraduate students the opportunity to work closely with the IT giant, and the two organisations will be working collaboratively on research in the future.

Dr Alex Bazin will be discussing the ‘Internet of Things’, who some industry commentators say is part of the next industrial revolution. Alex joined Fujitsu in 2007 and has worked across business development, consulting and delivery roles all with a focus on innovation and new technologies. In this role, he leads a global team of technology and market specialists who support the globalisation of Fujitsu intellectual property and promote Fujitsu’s position as a business and social innovator.

Alex and his team support the introduction of innovative Fujitsu technology into new geographies and industries. He is also responsible for delivering customer innovation services and channeling the ‘voice of the customer’ to internal and partner research and development programs.

Dr Alex Bazin will be addressing students on Thursday 21 January, between 11 and 12, in HLT1 (Holdenby, Park Campus). For more information, contact Sandra Whittleston. To keep up to date with Dr Bazin on Twitter, follow him here.
