Date 13.11.2015

The University of Northampton is pleased to announce that it has been shortlisted for the Midlands Enterprising University of the Year for the third year in a row!

The award, which has been won by the University of Northampton in 2012 and 2013, recognises outstanding performance from a university or university department, promoting entrepreneurship and social enterprise. The other shortlisted universities include Aston University, Coventry University, Stafford University and Nottingham Trent University.

Professor Simon Denny, Director of Enterprise, Development and Social Impact at the University of Northampton, commented: “The fact we have been shortlisted yet again shows how our unique institutional focus on social enterprise, with the great opportunities this gives our students, continues to impress the business leaders that judge the Midlands Business Awards. This year we have an even more impressive story to tell with our Ashoka U award, our ‘Changemaker Campus’ initiative, and the fantastic work the Students’ Union is doing.”

The next stage of shortlisting will require a one-to-one interview with a judge on Wednesday 6 November 2013 and the winner will be announced at a gala dinner on Friday 28 February 2014.
