The University of Northampton scores a hat trick by winning the Midlands Enterprising University of the Year 2014

The University of Northampton is pleased to announce that it has been named the Midlands Enterprising University of the Year for the third year in a row at the Midlands Business Awards.

The award recognises outstanding performance from a university promoting entrepreneurship and social enterprise.

Professor Simon Denny, Director of Enterprise, Development and Social Impact at the University of Northampton, commented: “The fact we have been named the Midlands Enterprising University of the Year for the third time shows how our unique institutional focus on social enterprise, with the great opportunities this offers our students and staff, continues to impress the business leaders that judge the Midlands Business Awards.”

Terry Neville, Chief Operating Officer at the University of Northampton, commented: “We are very proud to have been named the Midlands Enterprising University of the Year for 2012, 2013 and now 2014. We are committed to develop entrepreneurial skills and enterprising attitudes amongst our students and staff in our aim to deliver a more inclusive society.”​

The Awards Ceremony took place on Friday 28 February at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
