Date 29.04.2016

Students from Architectural Technology, Interior Design and Product Design will be showcasing their work at the University of Northampton’s Avenue Gallery over the next few days.

The exhibition is called 1+2 Dimensions and includes design work created by both first and second year students in response to context and function, and design for manufacture. It will feature hand sketching, architectural models, cad visualisations and technical drawings.

Second year BSc (Hons) Interior Design student, Antonia Lowe, commented: “I am very excited about this exhibition as it gives us an opportunity to show our work and what we have been working on as a group within our course areas.”

Ben Ibrahim, who is in his second year of the BSc (Hons) Product Design course, said: “Working on this project has been a really good experience for us and is a great way of getting us ready for industry. With the exhibition, we will be able to get feedback for our work going forwards.”

Jack Turner, first year Architectural Technology student, said: “This has given us a real sense of achievement as we are able to showcase our hard work to the public.”

Masoud Malekzadeh, Senior Lecturer at the University of Northampton said: “The students have worked really hard for the whole academic year and have had a very eventful journey. What is presented at this exhibition is the tip of the iceberg. I am happy to join them celebrating their achievement.”

The exhibition is open weekdays only from 29 April to 5 May from 10am until 5pm.
