PhD student presents research at prestigious conference in Italy

Date 12.11.2015

A PhD student from the University of Northampton was given the opportunity to present her work at a Student Research Competition that took place in the Italian city of Bergamo earlier this month.

Oyindamola Olajubu was invited to present her research based around a notation for requirement specification developed in collaboration with industry partner, GE Aviation. Her report also details initial observations from using the notation to specify sample requirements provided by GE Aviation.

The Student Research Competition took place during the tenth joint meeting of the European Software Engineering Conference and the ACM SIGSOFT Symposium on the Foundations of Software Engineering (ESEC/FSE 2015) from 30 August to 4 September 2015.

Oyindamola said: “The research abstract was published in the conference proceedings and I was invited to participate in the poster round of the competition.

“It was a wonderful experience for me as it was the first time I would be participating in an international conference on Software Engineering. I also received valuable feedback and comments about my research from experts and academics in attendance.”
