Big brew bags charity cash bonanza

Date 6.10.2016

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning fundraiser held at the University of Northampton last week has raised more than £700 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Coffee, tea and cakes were sold by the Changemaker Hubs at Avenue and Park campuses, the Office of the Vice Chancellor and the Faculty of Business and Law. A raffle was also held, bringing the total raised to £730.97.

Liam Norton, Community Engagement Advisor at the University Centre for Employability and Engagement, said: “I am very pleased to announce the money raised exceeds last year’s total, which is a fantastic achievement.

“This was only possible thanks to the combined efforts of the Office of the Vice Chancellor, Changemaker Hubs and the Faculty of Business and Law – and of course everybody who supported the coffee morning events.”
