Two BA Media Production students at The University of Northampton have won a student competition to produce a viral video for a leading international software company.
Cem Kaymaz-Yildiz and Jason Inge, both Year 3 students, are the winners of the Global Graphics' 2010 video competition. The competition brief was to make a viral advert for the company, promoting their gDoc Fusion software product, and the competition was open to all students across the UK.
Jill Taylor, Corporate Communications Director, Global Graphics Software, commented:
We thought their video was outstanding - it interpreted the brief very well and communicated the unique selling points of the product in an engaging and humourous way. The video has been posted up on various video sharing sites and we wish Cem and Jason every best in their studies and future careers.

Cem and Jason's video breaks down the basic elements of what the gDoc Fusion software can do using comical visual representations of specific computer files. It can be viewed online at http://www.youtube.com/user/GlobalGraphicsTV#p/u/0/alYq363S-fE
Cem and Jason added:
It's great to have won the competition. We entered it after our lecturer Tim Coley told us about the opportunity. We're both looking to find internships within the media after we graduate so we hope this accolade will help us to get noticed.
