The all new Social Enterprise Summer School, which is taking place at Park Campus from Monday 1 - Friday 5 August, has been designed exclusively for 16 to 19-year-olds and will include an exciting range of 'Dragons Den'-style activities, project planning, events and enterprising challenges.

The week-long Summer School, which will run from 10am to 4pm, is completely free of charge and will give youngsters the unique opportunity to design and carry out projects which will benefit the local community.

Participants will be able to choose which local groups they would like to support and will then work with groups to deliver a project.

The event will also include a visit to another university.

This Summer School will give dynamic and entrepreneurial young people throughout the county the chance to do good and find out more about what a modern, enterprise focused, university such as Northampton is all about.

The Summer School, an Aimhigher initiative, is designed togive all participants the opportunity to design and lead development projects that will really benefit the community. The best projects will be funded to continue for up to 12 months.

At The University of Northampton we offer a host of social enterprise schemes which offer fantastic new opportunities for current and prospective students to gain the skills they need to get the great jobs of the future. Taking part in the Summer Schools is the first stage on the road to becoming one of the leading social entrepreneurs of the future.
