Talented students take to catwalk for acclaimed Fashion Show
Published Monday 23rd May 2011
Students with a passion for fashion are putting finishing touches to their collections in the run up to The University of Northampton’s nationally acclaimed School of The Arts Graduate Fashion Show.
The event, which is taking place at The Royal & Derngate on
Wednesday, 22nd June, will include an afternoon and evening show, along with a
gallery exhibition across the road at The Northampton Museum & Art Gallery.
Last year's show attracted nearly 3,000 people, with the evening performance an instant sell-out. This year the event promises to do just the same.
Expect the unexpected. On last year's catwalk collections were inspired by burlesque, the Salvation Army and ducks!
This is a fantastic showcase for our graduates who are at the cutting edge of design - inspiring, motivated and dedicated students who break the mold, take calculated risks and are confident in their own winning formula.
Vicki Dean, Acting Divisional Leader in the School's Fashion and Textiles Division
