Current research projects
The School of Health's Biosciences Research Group is currently involved in a number of projects in the area of microbial survival mechanisms.
Current projects include:
- The effects of novel preservative regimes on the growth and survival of food pathogens
- The use of essential oil vapours for reducing microbial contamination
- The control of Clostridium difficile in the community
Research is also being undertaken in a range of other areas including molecular biology, microbiology, physiology and nutrition.
