Research training

Students enrolling on a research degree at The University of Northampton are expected to take part in an extensive research training programme.

The research training programme extends throughout the student's entire period of study. The programme is designed to help students achieve success in their degree and to provide the vital skills that will help them progress in their career.

The programme is highly varied and includes generic, discipline and project-based training.

Satisfactory completion of various parts of this training programme is a requirement for progression to registration for the University's MPhil and PhD programmes.
