Keeping healthy - have you had your meningitis immunisation?
Most students should already have been immunised, but if you have not, please see your doctor quickly for this. The immunisation will protect you against meningitis C (more common in the student age range) but you should still be alert for symptoms of other strains of meningitis - watch out for your new friends too! Look for severe headache, stiff neck, vomiting, back or joint pain, severe dislike of light, a rash which doesn't fade under pressure.
