Northampton railway station is located approximately half a mile to the west of Northampton town centre on Black Lion Hill.
Direct train services are operated by London Midland between Northampton and London Euston, Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Watford Junction, Birmingham New Street, Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton, Tamworth, Lichfield, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe and other intermediate stations.
Virgin Trains also operate a small number of services between Northampton and London Euston, Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton.

Buses operate from Black Lion Hill bus interchange which is one minute walk from the railway station (please note that buses no longer operate from the railway station forecourt).
