Train

Northampton railway station is located approximately half a mile to the west of Northampton town centre on Black Lion Hill.

Direct train services are operated by London Midland between Northampton and London Euston, Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Watford Junction, Birmingham New Street, Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton, Tamworth, Lichfield, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Crewe and other intermediate stations.

Virgin Trains also operate a small number of services between Northampton and London Euston, Birmingham New Street and Wolverhampton.

Railcards

If you are aged 16 to 25, or over the age of 26 and in full-time education, you may be eligible for a 16-25 Railcard, which will save you one third on many fares throughout Great Britain. Railcards are also available for disabled people and the over 60s.

Bus services from Northampton railway station

Bus service 19 links Northampton railway station directly to the University's two campuses, seven days per week from morning to late evening. Buses operate from Black Lion Hill bus interchange which is one minute walk from the railway station (please note that buses no longer operate from the railway station forecourt). 

Other bus services to different locations in Northampton also operate from Black Lion Hill bus interchange.
