Bus service 21

Bus service 21 is a commercial service operated by Soul Brothers Ltd.

Route

Service 21 runs twice per hour during the daytime, Monday to Friday. The route is as follows:

Park Campus - Kingsthorpe - Avenue Campus - Bus station

In the morning peak, some journeys start at Northampton rail station. At Park Campus the buses stop in front of the Student Centre, while at Avenue Campus the buses stop in front of Maidwell building on St George's Avenue.

The stops outside and opposite Kingsley General Store on Kingsley Road also classify as stops for Avenue Campus.

Bus fares

Students and staff can travel for free on service 21 from Park Campus to Avenue Campus, and vice versa, on production of a valid University ID card (all day Monday to Friday).

Free travel is also available to either campus from bus stops within the NN2 restricted car parking zone (see list of restricted postcodes within NN2), and back again, on service 21 on production of a valid University ID card (all day Monday to Friday). This Free Travel Zone operates between Park Campus, Kingsthorpe, Avenue Campus and Barrack Road. To qualify for free travel the journey must start or end at Park Campus or Avenue Campus (see conditions of free travel).

A discounted fare of £1 is available for any other single journey on service 21 on production of a valid University ID card (all day Monday to Friday).
